This morning I took a walk with my Border Terrier (River) up Walker’s Hill near Alton Barnes and soaked up the warm midsummer sunshine. Things have generally been pretty good for me recently. My stress about art and life have dissipated and I’m just getting on without being too worried about any of it.

Recently I’ve tried carrying my sense of space with me after I’ve been for a walk. Sometimes easier said than done! I’ve also realised that my connection to this land feels much deeper and more ancient than ‘England’ or ‘Britain’. Something pre-nationalistic feels right to me.

Anyhow, Ode to Midsummer is a very large painting, c 50 x 125 cm on paper. Hope you like it. DM for sales enquiries.
