A bit of repetition on a theme here (sorry), but I really need to get back to basics. In fact, calling it ‘basic’ is a misnomer. Getting back to the ‘hard’ is more like it. Observation. Painting what I see (what I actually see). It’s a painter’s challenge and something I feel I’ve needed to do for a little while now. Hence the daily oil sketches. Here’s day 3. ‘Jug, milk bottle and dried rose stem’.

I am a Wiltshire-based landscape artist, working outdoors, come rain or shine. I recently left full time work in order to pursue my life-long ambition of being an artist.
